Where are you spring? Apparently you are the worst you've been for 50 years, here in Vancouver. I don't mind a little rain and cold (I keep telling myself that), but you're making it really difficult for me to get several garden shoots wrapped up. The flowers look like they're sobbing. Here's proof....
Off to Victoria for a shoot, this weekend. Always nice to hang out there. What will you be doing? For those of you in the U.S., have a lovely long weekend!
Happy Friday everyone! Back soon.

oooh. lovely.
only the flower to the left in the third photo looks truly sad.
i'm having to water my balcony plants twice a day to keep them from shriveling in the heat...apparently there's no middle ground.
oh, janis. these are beautiful! you have a wonderful gift, i admire your photography so. the way you capture colour + light, simply gorgeous! that forget-me-not is my fave, so pretty.
those are the most beautiful waterlogged flowers I've ever seen!
Ya know...I'm one of those emotional people that cries whenever they see other people cry. Apparently, sobbing flowers have the same effect on me...Please Mother Nature, bring Janis some sun so she can take happy flower pictures and get her work done.;)
oh my...You can even make rain look great!
Hey Janis,
I've joked with a few of my Northern Hemisphere [NH]friends that they need to put the plug back in because your spring rain is filtering down to us in the SH.
I'm with Vintage House because these photos actually look terrific to me, but I do know how frustrating rain can be.
Fingers crossed we have some moderation hey!
xx Felicity
Weird, really... these past 2 Months feel like in the middle of Summer here, yesterday alone we were sweating at 28 - 32°C (in the shade). :)
Also, I love the 2'nd pic from the top most from those all those beautiful shots. The colours & those lovely water droplets, awesome!
Btw, I tagged you in a game & would like to invite you to be part of it at my post Staffetta dell'amicizia! Whatever your choice, thank you in advance & have a great Weekend.
They look all the better for the raindrops. Lovely shots, so very alive.
they are sobbing! but you still made them look pretty.....;)
have fun in victoria!
Inspiring!
awe Janis, it has been pretty puddly of late hey?! but your "sobbing" flowers are beautiful. i never thought about it like that before, i love this and will be using that very term next time i'm out on a rainy walk with friends. Happy times in Victoria!!! ♥
Thank you so much for making the trek out to the valley for The Old School Market. It was such a great day and I think it will take us a little time to recover... :)
Oh, such stunning pictures! They really do like they are crying...Hope you had a lovely weekend. x
The flowers may be wet but your pics are still stunning! How about you send a little rain to me in Dubai and I'll send some heat and sunshine to you? :)

I'm sorry you're having such terrible weather in Vancouver Janis, but these flower photos are just gorgeous! I must say the rain doesn't dampen their beauty at all.
