I'd like to introduce you to interior designer, Lael O'Brien. I shot her home last summer, for House and Home, and it's just out now in the June issue.
Lael is a huge fan of wallpaper, and has used it throughout the house, along with pops of colour and fun patterns. Here's a little peek....
You can also watch an interview with Lael, and get a tour of her home, at H&H online. Click here to watch.
Have a great day! Back soon.

I just LOVE wallpaper. Since I live with my boyfriend we have lived in 5 houses, counting this one that is ours. Wallpaper is always present, in walls, doors (like our bathroom with a wallpaper of an english phone cabin).
There is something about patter that never ends.

Gorgeous shots Janice! I've been thinking a lot about wallpapering my dining room, but always seem to chicken out. Maybe Lael's beautiful home will convince me to just do it! :)
I love all images, but the wallpaper only focusing on one wall in the first image is my top fave!
And the turquoise element repeating here, as flowers on the WP, the vases on sideboard & table, and even in those small tiles in the (kitchen?)wall to the left! Love that!
This home is PHENOMENAL. I especially love the kitchen with its bright teal backsplash along with white and stainless steel. Gorgeous!
Love this home! I know I always say that about the interiors you photograph, but it's always true!
That first wallpaper is stunning.
Congrats Janis on both your House & Home and Style at Home features for their June issues. That along with your photo shoot over in NYC with Jen of Made By Girl...wow, you're on fire!!!
Love the wallpaper! So adorable! And sweet house!Everything are perfect!
Fun fun fun! So funny that I blogged about my fear of commitment of wallpaper and now you've just shown another gorgeous example of why it's so great! The turquoise tile is really fab! :)
Carola, you've moved around a lot! I love that you have no fear of wallpaper. it can change up a room with just one roll!
Meesh, I have heaps of wallpaper....all in a cupboard. I'm a bit of a chicken too. ;)
Pink Panthress, that kitchen wall is pretty fantastic. I really loved the turquoise tiles too.
Tan, Lael did do a great job with her home. It was pretty place to shoot!
Amy, you're so sweet. Thanks for your lovely words. Thanks for the reminder about Style At Home as well. ;)
Cosplay, I'm happy you like it!
Lisa, I know, when I read your post I laughed! I'm a chicken too, so I understand. ;)
Great snaps! The kitchen splashback tiles are doing it for me, big time! x

GORGEOUS pops of colors + great photography by you!!!!
That backsplash is so pretty!!! We are creating a kitchen right now in what was a dining room and I have been thinking about tile like that but in spring green, since my walls are that turquoise. But I am waiting to get countertops in first to make a decision.
what a cool home! love the little gilt table.
i was stoked to hear the diversion project got a mention in this latest issue too!
