Thought I'd share another lovely home with you, to start off the week. I shot this huge space for Style At Home, for the current issue. Designed by architect Omer Arbel, it's filled with light and all kinds of beautiful details. Here's a peek...
The bedroom overlooks one of my favourite spots in Vancouver - Blood Alley. Intriguing name, isn't it?
Great use of an antique cabinet. Perfect in the master bathroom.
The kitchen can open up to this indoor/outdoor patio.
The "living" wall is filled with strawberry plants.

i love blood alley. there aren't a lot of mews & alleys like it left in vancouver. those floor candlesticks! i'm dying to try my hand at making some. x

ReplyDeleteLove the eclectic design. I'd love to see more like it - so much of day-to-day Vancouver decor is a bit Pottery Barn-ish. And it can be done inexpensively as well.

ReplyDeleteWell, it seems you guys like this home! I just couldn't believe how much light Omer worked into this very long and wide old building. The patio just off the kitchen is my fave spot in this space!

I've always been a bit smitten by industrial-feeling spaces in old warehouses and such. I love open concept and often feel like traditional houses feel a bit boxed-in for me. great shots!

I was scrolling through these pictures and have to say, I had to stop and go back and just stare at the photo of the bike against the brick wall. I loooove it! I don't know what it was but it totally just out too me and I love it! Great job

ReplyDeleteI'm in the middle of painting my front door the same shade of blue as the cushions on the bed. I've been debating using red as an accent colour in the entry, and now I'm pretty sure that's the way I'm going to go :-)
