Hope everyone's week is off to a good start! It's sunny and pretty warm here today...ah, spring.
Last week I was in Montreal with my husband. We managed to arrive just after a 30cm snowfall, which was fine with us, just made it a bit trickier pounding the pavement all day! Stayed at Hotel Gault (pictured above), in Old Montreal, and I highly recommend it. The staff was amazing, the room was beautiful, and it was a 3 minute walk to a metro station. Perfect.
Here's a little of what we saw....

The view from Parc du Mont Royal.
A Spring/Winter wonderland at Parc La Fontaine. So beautiful in the snow, I can only imagine what it's like in the summer.
We were pretty frozen when we came across this cozy shop, Fuchsia. Loved the coffee, and Chester the dog too.

Notre-Dame Basilica was one of the most stunning churches I've seen.
Style Labo has a bit of everything. I love a shop that mixes vintage with new products. Stumbled upon it when walking around the Mile End area.
Rooney was right across from our hotel. Too handy ;) A great selection of books, clothes, accessories and shoes.
If you've been to Montreal, I'd love to know your favourite neighbourhoods. There was just so much to see, and so little time!

Love your pics! I love Old Montreal but have only been during the summer ~ the winter looks so pretty too. We stayed at Hotel Nelligan which is also a boutique hotel in the heart of it - I love little hotels. I wish I would have seen Style Labo ~ it looks like such a fun shop!
Beautiful photos - you make me miss my hometown!
Aah...those last two shops look right up my alley. Vintage industrial lighting, clothes, books....fantastic. I've been wanting to go to Montreal for quite some time. This makes me want to go all the more.
I've never been to Montreal, but it is on my list too. I can already tell, I could do some damage shopping. Only suitcase weight restrictions would hold me back.
So many unique shops and finds; lovely pics!

Lovely photos! Isn't it beautiful there? I miss living in Montreal (except for the cold) - but it does have some good shops!
Janis, your post is bringing back great memories of Old Montreal for me. What a fabulous part of the city!!! Love the Notre Dame photo--stunning.
