Why, thank you

I've been given a "Kreativ Blogger" award from Heather Cameron. Thanks Heather! Now, finally, here is my "7 things you don't know about me" list. Yikes. I'm not one for spotlights, so this may not be too serious business.

1) I'm prone to muffled laughter during yoga classes. I don't know why. Maybe it's my reflection. I have been asked to keep it down by a very bendy instructor.
2) When I worked on a tv show in Australia, I had an argument with Danny Bonaduce (Danny from the Partridge Family). He was a rude, silly, man. He had been filling in for the host of the show.
3) My record for painting the same wall in our house was 4 times in 5 days. Four different colours within 5 days. I hope someone can top that. I've said it before...it's difficult choosing a colour!
4) I secretly love watching 18 Kids and Counting. I guess it's not really a secret anymore. Imagine giving birth that many times. Actually, they have just had their 19th baby. Ouch. Maybe it doesn't even hurt anymore??
5) I, too, had an affair with Tiger Woods....hasn't everyone?
6) Ernest Borgnine filmed a few scenes, at our house in the early 80's. Beside him, in this picture, is my mom and two of my sisters. He was so sweet! My favourite Ernest film has got to be the Poseidon Adventure (1972).

7) I've mentioned my new found hobby of knitting, so I've posted some of the scarves. I wouldn't want anyone to think they were make believe, like unicorns. If you look closely, I'm sure you will see that I, perhaps, purled where I should have knitted. Hopefully, by showing them, it will help me get over my fear of showing my handiwork to real knitters! Now I have to make something with sleeves.

I think I have to pass on this award to a few other bloggers, so I've chosen the following fab blogs.

Cute! Is 18 kids and counting the Duggers? I'm secretly fascinated by them as well! It's a good thing we're not taking yoga together, because we'd probably be kicked out. AND, I haven't painted a room 4 times in 5 days, but I totally don't think that's unreasonable. Sometimes the color just isn't "right" and you just don't know why!

Ernest Borgnine... I loved watching him when I was akid, even in Airwolf! :D

And the scarves, I think they look all fine, really! My fave of those 4 you did showcase is the bright blue!

Janis thank you so much for the award! I am lauging away to myself about your yoga classes, the ladies that come to my class are always giggling - nothing worse than serious yogis!! What a cool story about Ernest Borgnine and the Partridge Family man - I love a claim to fame tale x

Congratulations!!! I'm with you there on number 4! :-)

Your scarves are lovely, and particularly beautifully photographed. I especially like the stripy one. How about a Scarf Giveaway...? Will you be retiring from international knitting to spend time with your family after the affair?

Now I know more about you...I can say I like you even more..especially giggles at yoga class..I giggle all the time.
Oh if only I could knit..my life would be complete..well almost. I should of paid more attention to my grandma as she tried to teach me at age 8.
Are you going to me doing much work for the Olympics? We were downtown on Saturday...oh now I so have the SPIRIT! xo

Oh, the Duggars. They're always smiling! I thought I had a lots of siblings (6).
Kitty M, I'm looking forward to seeing your list soon.
Mise, I think I will have to keep a low profile for a bit. Oh, those tabloids.

Your scarves are so cute. I love the striped one. Also, Danny Bonaduce strikes me as a very difficult man. I feel sorry for anyone who has to work with him. I have to put my list together soon - thanks for passing it on to me!

Love your scarves, they are sweet and pretty.
I'm sorry I didn't respond to our Mountie connection. Doesn't the red serge make you proud?

Hi Janis, thanks for coming to visit me - I'm delighted to have returned the courtesy - love your blog! Your shots are gorgeous - I'm just a learner - I've got a few nervous twitches to shrug off that were instilled in me by my (frustrated) perfectionist German father photographer! I love my camera and I've got heaps to learn but I just adore playing with it - Canon SLR. I'm a yoga girl too, love vintage, but I'm not a good knitter - I do try every now and again but sewing is my thing. I'm ex-television behind the scenes in Aust - where did you work here? Cheers, Suzy ;)

To answer Marjorie and Suzy, I worked at Channel 7. As a young gal, it was an eye opener! Only Canadian there too, though a few thought I was Irish.

oddly enough, when I was in LA being hit on by Gary, we were hanging out with Ernest's son. He looked just like his dad and was the goofiest person I have ever met.
I like scarves - did I ever tell you how much I like scarves?

Karen, your head matches your height, so have no fear. I liked your t-shirt.

well, i'm very glad my body caught up with my head, because in this picture, it looked like it could have become a problem. Kathy's ribcage is a bit of a worry as well haha!

Your scarves are looking so professional!

I too have trouble choosing wall colors, occasionally. I painted 8 swatches in my hallway, and painted it completely three times, so I think you've got me beat.

So much to say, where do I start? First of all, scarves, Amazing! I started one, let me repeat, started one, 3 months ago and it still would only be appropriate for a baby bib! Impressive Janis!
2nd-Yoga--no doubt!! I find it super hard to stay focused...not to mention the bodily sounds from others! OMG big laugh! god
3rd-can you come over and correct the ONE wall i painted in my tiny aprt!? Sounds like you are particular...!
4th-18 kids and counting...have no idea what you speak of!? Talk to me about The Bachelor, I am all ears!
5th-Tiger Woods...how could you sink so low!?? hahha
6th-ok this is one i can really comment on--this was a tender age of fatty and bowling ball head complex! Never mind that swishy tennis skirt in the picture! That skirt got mileage, by the way!
7th-Danny Bonaduce-? Who? Kidding. Never a fan. I seem to recall he was on America's top Wanted for being an abusive alcoholic? haha! nevermind, impressive that you went head to head with a has been big timer from 60's and 70's. PROPS Janis!

This is an excellent blog insert. Love it!! and love you!
