Hello Weekend

Hello! I hope October's off to a good start for you!

It's been a while since my last post, as it's been a super busy month. I've had a variety of shoots - everything from lovely homes, to Christmas, to a fun trip to Victoria BC for Canadian Living magazine. Instagram and twitter have been the way to go for me. Both are perfect for keeping in touch with all of you as well.

Thought I'd share one of the shoots I worked on. It's now on my lottery fantasy list. A beautiful 50 year old "cruiser", named 'Breezin' Thru', built by Vancouver company, Benson Shipyards. Eric Jespersen, a boat builder, restored my current fantasy, and Peter Wilds furnished it for their Australian client. 

Loved all the black and white against the warm, dark, glossy wood. 

We didn't have a lot of time with 'Breezin' Thru', as she was being shipped to her new home in Australia. This was quite the event. Loved having the opportunity to say bon voyage, as she was lifted onto the cargo ship.

Friday Fantasies

Do any of you have "Friday fantasties", but you know they will remain just that - fantasties? This coming weekend is one of those for me. I would love to be frolicking in the water, or just lounging by the water, but the reality is I'll be doing some post production and assisting a sister with her move (I'm happy to do it, Wendy. Really.).

Ahhh.

What would you like to do, or are doing, this lovely weekend? Feel free to make me envious. Have a good one!

Shipwreck

I've had a week filled with photoshop, which is good as it means I'm working. Having said that, on major computer days, I often don't leave the house. Last night I decided to go to Kits Beach, which is only about 4 kms from our house, and meet up with my sister-in-law and nieces. It's so beautiful down there! Why don't I go more often?

These boats have been washed up on shore since the Easter weekend wind storm. They look kind of chaotic, but calming at the same time. My poor bleeding eyes thoroughly enjoyed them.

What do you do after a long, sunny, work day? I just may go to the beach again.
