BC Home + Garden Show Give-Away

Happy Monday! If you're in BC, I hope you're enjoying your "Family Day" holiday Monday.

For anyone living in the Vancouver area, or planning to be, I've got two pairs of tickets up for grabs, courtesy of the BC Home + Garden show. It takes place February 19th - 23rd, and it's shaping up to be a great event. Really looking forward to seeing some of the celebrity guests including,  Janette Ewen, Jennifer Scott and Jef Hancock to name a few.

To get into the home decor mood, I thought I'd share some images from a shoot I did with David Keeler, of Provide Home, for the March issue of Style At Home. David decorated this city townhouse for a family of three and helped create a modern, calm and inviting space.

David setting up for the shoot.

Soft blues in the bedroom, that overlooks a pretty green space.

Their tiny office, just off the master bedroom. Custom light fixture by Caleb Siemon.

Loved all the details. Cushion by Charlene Mullen, framed tea towel by Third Drawer Down and a trio of vases by Heath Ceramics. All found at Provide Home, in Vancouver.

Lots more of this home can be seen in the March issue of Style At Home on news stands now.

If you'd like a chance to win one of two pairs of tickets to the BC Home + Garden Show, just leave me a comment. I'll be making the draw on Thursday February 13th. I'll see you at the show!

Have a great day.

City Living in a Duplex

Happy Wednesday! Hope your week is going well.

I had the pleasure of shooting, jewelry designer, Leah Alexandra's, and music producer, Kris Dirksen's home for Style At Home, and wanted to share a few extra pics with you. It was styled by Joanna at The Cross Design. The entire story is in the March issue of Style At Home and you can also see it here.

Their home is small and perfectly organized, with a place for everything. Have to love that. Again, to see the whole story, and a lot more pics, check out the new issue of Style At Home. By the way, you can also subscribe to a digital version of Style At Home now (I've been waiting for this!).

Have a good day!

A Beautiful Blend

To start off this sunny first day of August, I thought I'd share a very pretty lane way house, that I shot for House and Home magazine. Homeowner, Jo, brought in Joanna, from The Cross, to help her out in this small space. Jo has brought back many beautiful bits from her travels, and wanted some help in mixing them with custom pieces, and mid-century furniture. I love what they came up with...

A custom settee upholstered in contrasting fabrics. Pretty perfect.

The large lamp, with clear glass base, and acrylic coffee table are great choices for a tiny space.

I have put in my request, to Jo, for this entire dining set should she tire of it ;)

I want to move this kitchen right into my home. Loved the grey subway tiles, happy paper lined cupboard, and that Smeg. I'll take it all.

Last, but not least, the bedroom. Sweet dreams.

What do you think of Jo's home? Do you like the blend of materials, fabrics, and styles? To see more, pick up the September issue of House and Home magazine.

Happy August 1st!

City Living

Happy Friday! I've had a very busy, but fun, week of shoots - gardens, lifestyle, homes and bedding. It had it all. Hope you had a good week too.

Thought I'd wrap up the week with a few images of a well planned out small space...only 500 square feet. Not so unusual in Vancouver. This glamourous space was designed by Peter Wilds.

Loved the idea of eeking out a tiny "bedroom" from what was a closet. Peter's a clever boy.

Could you live in 500 square feet? I have, but it can be tight. Didn't have a well organized space like this though.

Have a good weekend!

Colourful City Living

Happy hump day! How's your week going? Hope it's been stress-free. Any of you still stealing candy from your kid's or niece's/nephew's candy bags? I am. ;)

Issue #5 of Anthology is out - yeah! I shot a very cute apartment for it, designed by Peter Wilds (formerly of The Cross). The homeowner, Carol Dey, is a world traveller and has some great little collections from her travels. Here's a snippet.....

I love her collections from her travels, and the woman isn't afraid of colour. Love her. You can see more pics, and read Carol's story in the new issue of Anthology.  I had a sneak peek - looks like another fantastic issue.

Back soon!
