Slowly getting back to normal around here. This weekend, I worked on the shoots I had last week, lounged around a pretty beach, and checked out some wall garden action.....
Check out Rose and Pistols here.
Shot for Style at Home and Today's Parent.
These really are the last days of summer around here. The smashed sand pail sort of said it all, to me! Crescent Beach is about 45 minutes south of Vancouver. A beautiful spot. If you visit, don't miss Hooked Fish Bar. We had fish tacos and fish & chips. Yum.
What did you get up to? If you're in the northern hemisphere, were you trying to enjoy the last bits of summer too? Fill me in.
Have a great day!

Your shots are great - that blueberry dessert looks delicious and what a fun wall garden! I've had a hard time getting my brain out of vacation mush mode - maybe this week I'll actually get myself in gear! :)
We did a lot of gardening that has been put off all summer and had 2 sets of people for suppers outside. I miss so much eating outside. My house is small so the garden gives us extra space.
Your package should arrive today. Hopefully there are some good blocks there. Some I have no idea what they are because of the backwards thing, but I know one say Green Bean.
So incredibly beautiful Janis. I love the way you shot these. You always inspire me so much! Love it ;)
I LOVE the wall garden, Janis, esp. all those succulents!
That wall garden looks splendiferous... living in West Europe where we have too much population on a too small 'Pen'Continent, I love every kind of vertical Gardening. ^_^
And beautiful photographs as always!
No, I have a cold with a (very) sore throat since last Tuesday. :/ So I did stay in bed most of the time.
P.S.: Have a great start to the week.
P.P.S.: You wouldn't mind telling me which Font you did use for the images?
Looks like a gorgeous, sunshiney weekend! Love those succulents.
Yeah that smashed sand pail is a sad sign that summer is heading out... beautiful pics and lots of inspiration - must check out rose and pistols. should go for some fish tacos before summers end.
Oh, I would love a beautiful wall garden of succulents like that. I actually might not kill them.
Awe, Poor little sand pail...I want to scoop you up and glue you back together.
Very cool shots with handwritten captions...love them. Summer is still in full swing in California. Luckily, I had some heat reprieve this weekend while in San Francisco. A very unpredictable weather city. House sat a gorgeous place and dog sat too...a very loving labradoodle. Great time eating and seeing my husband and friends.
Nice post :) This weekend was packed with people coming to visit our apartment. We have to sublet it as we are moving back to Berlin at the end of September. So having strangers in and out of our apt all day, checking in all the corners, exploring our bedroom ... you know, it wasn't too much fun, lol! But on a very happy note, my friend finally had her baby! So over all, good weekend :)
I was at Whistler last week and it was downright cold. Now I'm back in Kelowna and it's been hot as ever until today:((( I'm afraid to go outside.
WOW! i love all those shots! beautifully captured. sounds like a fun week. xx
Aw... the picture of the Crescent Beach Swim Club reminds me that I was in that spot this time last year when I told my friend I was moving from White Rock to Sydney. Beautiful photos as always.
Love your shots Janis!! and that wall garden is so fab.
We just got back from 44 degrees in Palm Springs. It's cold here brrr.. Pretty sure there was a mix up and I'm actually supposed to be living about 24 hours south ;)
You guys make it really easy for all the folks out there.
bulk food

summer is fading quickly, isn't it? i feel desperate for a bit more of it, but life is flat out mad around here just now. perhaps in september we'll have a revival.
