Happy Ending

When I first starting blogging, I thought it'd be a snap to work, live and fit in blogging at least 3 times a week. No such luck. As a freelance photographer, I take the projects as they come in, and it's been busy. I did manage to add a few new prints to my shop, but that was about it. I really admire all of you that can blog daily, work, be a parent....how do you do it?  Do tell!

This week has wrapped up with a whole bunch of happy.....

The purple potatoes I planted with my niece, Annika, actually produced heaps of purple potatoes!

My Washi paper adhesive tape arrived from Little Happy Things. I love this tape. It's perfect for taping kids art work, notes, pictures, to the wall and peels off easily. Plus, it comes in fabulous colours. Check out Erika's etsy shop - it's so cute.

Finishing off the week was a shoot with Gwyn, one half of the dynamic girl power duo of Gallant & Jones. They design and make these beautiful beach and garden deck chairs. I have one, and it's so well made and comfortable. Love it.

Have a lovely weekend! Back on Monday.

Greetings from backward Europe. I had never heard of purple potatoes or Washi tape. Both are promptly added to my Must Have list. And those are lovely lucidly dreamy beach photos.

It's funny you decided to write about fitting it all in. I've come to the conclusion that you can't...and that it's ok!! Love those purple potatoes. I'm hoping to pull up a few beetroot today..my first attempt at growing them. Hope I'm halfway as successful as you. Hope your weekend is wonderful...only half a day of it left here...where do they go!!

yum! I bet those potatoes will be good.
I always wonder how others do it too? For me I make time to blog late at night. I should be sleeping but I don't. Instead I blog and I enjoy it as a bit of time for myself.
Will be in Whitehorse in a week.....can't wait to receive my lil Mountie. Thank you so much. xox Johanna

For the blogging conundrum - well my dear, it's all about priorities.... maybe you need to re-evalute... I mean, do you really need to spend time on things like sleep and personal hygene? How important are they, really, compared to entertaining us all with blog posts and yummy baking recipes {which wreak havoc for my diet by the way!}

Seriously though, blogging should be fun....fit it in when you can, if you can. We'll enjoy your lovely posts and pictures whenever they come.

Your photos always take my breathe away!! I think that is one of the things I like so much about blogging....when I have the time I blog, but I try not to feel tied down by it. I know it will be here waiting for me when I get the chance to sit down!
Happy day--your name partner!

Purple potatoes? Fabulous!

I totally agree with Karla that blogging should be fun and as stress-free as possible. This sounds totally unromantic, but I do all of my posts for the week on one day, and I always plan my posts a couple of weeks ahead. This is the only way I've been able to post daily.

I've been having the same question too, how do the other people that can blog daily, work, be a parent....? But I do think that blogging should be fun and as stress-free as possible, and I am trying to do so, especially now I am 8 month pregnant, it's hard for me to sit in front of computer too long, haha.
By the way, thank you very much for mentioned my shop, I really hope you enjoy your tapes like I do!

Fitting it all in is almost impossible. It's a difficult balance but I try not to stress about it since blogging to me is a fun thing and if I have to miss a day, no worries! Plus it's summer and who's on their computers when the beautiful weather beckons?
Your potatoes have come along nicely! And your photos are always so pretty - visiting your blog is such a nice break in my craziness. : )

Hope you are having a great week Janis - it's always difficult but good fun to fit in the blogging, especially when you are self employed - it's a bad distraction for me when I should be working lol! Beautiful photography for Gallant and Jones, how I wish I could spend a week on that beach right now! Kitty x

I can't do it either, fit it all in. I'm here then, oops, too busy and blogging seems to be the first to suffer.

I finally am satisfied to post just when I can. I figure most of us are in the same boat and I assume like me, we can't keep up with all our fave blogs all at once constantly either, so I look at it as a relief to all, hee. ;P
