I hope all had a great week! Just got back from a little camping trip to Monck Park in beautiful British Columbia. I went with 3 of my sisters, Mom and a couple of nephews. Hot, feral and heaps of fun....even without a campfire. Lots of forest fires here in B.C. so there is a ban on campfires for a bit. I bring you bits of B.C.....
Liam, pine cones, the perfect camping breakfast, and a little washing up.
Various views of our campsite at Monck Park, one of B.C.'s many provincial parks.
Beautiful Nicola Lake.
A lonely looking little red house, in Merritt.
Merritt, B.C.
Allison Lake, B.C. This lake is stunning! The colour of the water was beautiful.
I leave you with a very happy pink house located in Princeton, BC.
Have a good weekend! Back on Monday for a little baking.

The colours in these photos are amazing - really convey the sense of heat, but with a beautiful vibrancy.
I love the old Provincial Park signs - the Monck Park chipmunk is a classic!
that pink house is super cute...i want to paint my little old house pink but my husband said no...oh well!
These are so pretty! I was camping in Tofino for the long weekend and it was CHILLY, so it would've been a disaster if the fire ban was in effect (it's in the "Fog Zone" so not only does that sound super cool, but it exempts any fire bans).
I love your camping dishes!
awesome! its been so wet in ontario, we could hardly get our campfire going... and when we did, it would rain.
i see you are also a fan of the redbird matches.
i had others one time that were cheapies and my daughter says, well, they re not redbirds....
haha

Such a gorgeous collection of photos. I find it so interesting how the light/colour of the sky can be so different in other parts of the world.
Great pics! They almost have a bit of a vintage feel to them.
have a fab weekend! : )
such pretty images janis. i love that white church in merritt, i remember being mesmerized in the cemetery there.
it looks like you guys had the place to yourselves!
...yeah B.C. camping .... your pictures are nostalgic...!
Oh my gosh, these photos are so precious! I adore the vintage vibe to them. And that one of the cut-open cereal box is perfection!
This post made me really happy : )
Looks like a wonderful time. The red house is adorable, just in need of some TLC. Enjoy your weekend!!
Fun! I love all of the photos :) The colors are great.

These pix are sp pretty -a relaxed summer atmosphere. And i ove the way you present them. BC must be beautiful. We once had an au-pair from there, she was so sweet and walked and walked for hours with my son on her back. Have a fun-filled weekend!
I've already been back a few times! Can't get enough of your blog! I'm now a trusty follower!

How lovely! I am so excited for your trip, the pictures came out beautifully, too, they look really professional! XO!
That little pink house is too perfect, and I love your camping photos so much. I haven't been camping once yet this year, and now I am seriously craving it!
That photo of your enamelware is the best! I collect vintage enamelware, too, but I've never brought the really pretty pieces on a camping trip. You've inspired me! xoxo Gigi
Looks like an awesome trip Janis! Loved the fruitloops in a booox - brought back so many memories.
Aw, that sweet pink house is so adorable! I bet the decorations inside are just as fun and cute.
Gorgeous...all of it! And that lake looks like a dream!
Soooooo lovely...my camping dishes look a lot like yours. xoxoxox
BC looks so gorgeous...I am just dying to visit. And what a wonderful time you must have had with your family. It sounds like such a wonderful trip.
Is is weird to be homesick for a place you've never been? That red house wouldn't be lonely if I were around....and *hello* and nice to meet you btw!
What a great time - that camp site is so retro and a real beauty. I had so much fun, hard to be back at work :((
And by the way, the toliet situation is all sorted! lol
xo
And Janis, of course, you captured Monk Park better than anyone else could. xo
aww, as a fellow canadian BC is one of my favourite local destinations! My bro lived in Merrit playing hockey for a while. Amazing photos!

Oh my God that pink house is the dearest thing I've ever seen. Who ever had the inspiration do that color combination has a joyful heart.
Your camping pictures are an have the feel of a bygone era. Wish I had been there to share the happiness but I'm glad to be able to now even at this distance. That is what makes visiting the blogging world so enticing, you get to be part of other peoples lives. Ann
