Easy-going work week

I’ve had quite a variety of shoots this week. A lovely butcher named Armando, a tiny apartment, Nicole Jane Home (on line store) and the ladies of Gallant and Jones and their beautiful garden and beach chairs.

I have two of these and they are usable pretty much all year round in a place like Vancouver. It was so nice to be shooting outdoors (before autumn rain kicks in) and taking a break while lounging and watching the geese.

Just a small sample of some of the items you’ll find at Nicole Jane Home.

I’ve been taking a lot of night shots of residential streets lately so, since Halloween is right around the corner, I thought I’d leave you with a very clean, empty, and kind of creepy, street. It’s like a movie set. Streets like this one, give me the chills. I’m expecting someone with a hockey mask and an axe to come jumping out from behind a perfectly manicured shrub. See you in my nightmare, street.

Have a lovely day everyone. Back soon.

I've always had such affection for deckchairs (or deckwares as I'll call them now, having seen a charming little deckstool at Gallant & Jones). Your photos are beautiful. More deckchair shots, please, dear Janis!

oh great! now you've got me thinking the same thing on streets like that and there are a lot of them very similar here in Ireland! I'll make a point of getting home before dark from now on!

Had such fun with you on Wednesday! You're so easy to work with and so talented. As for the street shot, it's a creepy mix of Disneyland, with those perfectly shaped trees and Nightmare on Elm Street!!!

oh that shrub - i love it. i thought it looked quite idyllic!

could it be possible you've been watching too many Alfred Hitchcock movies?

looks like a lovely week though.

I love those chairs - and your shots make me want to go sit outside right now and soak up some autumn sunshine. Unfortunately, it is raining.

love your night shot; yet somehow it doesn't give me the creeps! guess you'd have to be there in person to get the 'all alone ax killer' vibe. happy shooting not shooting! Linda x
