'Tis the season for a little more Christmas. Happy Hump day, all!
I shot this story with my friend
Heather Cameron and sister-in-law/sometime assistant,
Kate Keeler. It's the 110 year old home of Colleen, owner of a shop called
Roses and Rutabagas. The full story is in the "100+ Favourite Holiday Ideas" - a special issue of
Style At Home.
One of the things I like best about my job, is seeing all kinds of different Christmas decor. I love seeing everyone's take on the season. What's your holiday style?
Have a great day! Back soon.
Janis

Absolutely stunning pictures! Bet you loved being there and seeing all the beauty.

we usually go with a slightly wonky / weird take on the festive season PC. Santa, flying reindeer, elves..... we try for the inside of the snow globe kind of feel.
I'm a total sucker for the icy look. Frosted teals, silver and white.
As much as I hate winter, somehow this is the prettiest Christmas theme for me.
Your styling and photography are gorgeous. I love the burgundy chairs with the Tiffany blue packages; unexpected but stunning.
My style would of been gold & mossy green this year, but sadly I won't be home until almost Christmas. I'm applying for my visa to remain in the U.K. and work. Terrible time of year to not know when you can return / : Good news I'm in Seattle, so happy to be home with my family for Thanksgiving.
Excited to see more of what you'll be up to for the holidays! I'll live vicariously through you!
Cheers ~ Deb
beautiful photos! I'm waiting for my issue to arrive in the mail. I recently picked up the Holiday special Style at home and really enjoyed all the beautiful eye candy in it.
So pretty! I love unconventional colours for Christmas instead of always the typical red and green. That flocked paper is gorgeous. I love vintage ornaments and I think my mom still has one of those glittered houses from my grandmother. :)
gorgeous shoot darl! my christmas style is a swim in the morning, wet hair and robe for opening pressies, robe/bathers throughout the day, prawns/ham/champagne grazing, followed by one of the kids' xmas dvds and a snooze (still in bathers and robe : )
would love another snow xmas some day though! it just seems right.
