Happy Friday everyone! Hope you had a great week. I just got back from my camping trip, and I'm finding it hard to get back into the swing of things. Do you ever feel like that after a relaxing get away?
I absolutely heart Nicola Lake, located near Merritt BC. It's hot, dry, smells of pine, and there are pinecones everywhere. This is why I named my blog Pinecone Camp. Conjures up the best memories, and I'm always completely relaxed there.
View from our campsite. So pretty.
A ranch on the way into town.
Hedley, BC is an old gold mining town. Tiny, friendly, and on this particular day, wildly hot.
Bromley Rock is just east of Princeton BC. Breathtakingly beautiful.
That's a small sample of this beautiful province. Have a lovely weekend!
Back soon.

awesome! I love the smell of pinecones. I love collecting them and having them in baskets in the house, and in winter tossing them in the fire..the smell and crackle make me happy.
I have not camped in so long!! miss it terribly. Since, I moved to chicago all my friends here are to girls and that is to outdoorsy for them....
happy weekend to you!

I am glad you had such a great time. No wonder with that kind of view, horses & yummy marshmallows.
Hmm... those red trimmings on the front of that house are so darling!
Gorgeous pictures! LOVE the one of me and the boys at Bromley Rock and the "running horses" shot is amazing! Well worth the wait! What a great trip!
xx karen
I bet you had loads of fun there. x
Ahhh beautiful BC. How I miss it. Looks like a wonderful and relaxing trip!
wow - your pics are breathtaking! It looks like an amazing spot to camp - no wonder you are smitten by it. I love places like Hedley Country Market - there are many of those little mom & pop places in Muskoka and that's usually where I find the best butter tarts!
and yup, getting back to reality is never easy - it takes my brain a couple of days to get out of vacation mode. :)
Lovely, Janis! I wish I was camping! I'm surprised by your pix - your camping spot looks a lot like the part of Wyoming I lived in (and northern Colorado). I hadn't imagined BC looking like that. Clearly, I need to get up there and see it for myself :)
oh, i wish i'd had a moment to go camping! i love camping all over bc. it looks glorious. i'd been wondering about the name of your site. xx
oh that just looks absolutely relaxing! What lovelylovely pics
oh, such great images janis! you really captured the feeling of being there.
i'm glad you guys had a fun trip!
Hi Janis - I'm new to you, but I love your camping pictures. My posts tend to be quite picture heavy and I was wondering if you would tell me where you're doing your collaging. Is it an online site or a computer program. Thanks. I'm off to explore your Cheddar Chili Spelt Biscuits now.
